Imagine the beautiful light this lamp would cast… It is the creation of Nosign, a young Japan-based designer with a lot of innovative designs and ideas. Composed entirely of empty eggshells, the lamp, called Rebirth, conforms to Nosign’s “open source” design philosophy.
In Nosign’s “open source” series he develops products which can be made using only existing, or discarded items. Nosign’s idea is to share with everyone how to make items with their own hands, without a designer, and without purchasing them. Besides the Rebirth lamp, for the “open source” series Nosign has also made a lighting fixture from noodles [Spring Rain light, 2007] and a seedling planter from empty eggshells [Hatch planter 2008].
