Vera Möller builds forests of organic shapes

German artist Vera Möller translates voices from her science background in ecology and biology to her studio work. Using modelling material, acrylic and enamel paints, Möller creates forests of organic shapes which jut into the air like a colony of mushrooms, or swath of bamboo. The artist, who now resides in Australia, describes her work as a “sustained examination of the fluid boundaries between ‘naturalia’ and ‘artificialia’, biotech and nature, the real and the imagined.
