Since 2004 Welsh artist Zander Olsen has been wrapping white fabric around trees in the Surrey, Hampshire and Wales countryside. When photographed from a distance, the negative space created by the fabric echoes the horizon line or the curve of the mountaintops in the background. The “enhanced” horizon line resonates at just the right visual pitch to hypnotize the viewer!
