This is the latest work by UK-based artist Yulia Brodskaya. “Loves Doves” (above) depicts an elderly man surrounded by doves. The image below is another quilled piece of the same man?
Brodskaya uses quilling, the twisting of thin strips of paper, to great effect, creating marvelous textural surfaces. Just look at the expression on their faces.
