Using nothing more than discarded envelopes and a standard Bic Biro pen, Mark Powell creates these marvelous portraits. The London-based artist has a real knack for capturing the immediacy of his subjects’ expressions. On his website, the only statement Powell provides reads: “From Leeds now in London. I draw with a Biro pen, i paint with anything. I often run into the sea.” A man of few words, humble art supplies, and lots of wonderful work!
