Limited edition prints by Shepard Fairey usually sell like hotcakes but this one is going to sell faster than a butterfly can beat its wings. At a random time in the morning (PST) on Thursday January 12th, Shepard Fairey‘s “Occupy Protester” print will be released for sale. This print will be especially sought after because it is the now familiar cover image for TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year. If you recall, Fairey also created the most iconic portrait of Obama which was used on the cover of TIME Magazine’s 2008 Person of the Year.
The 18″ x 24″ Occupy Protester screenprint will come in an edition of 450, and cost $60 with all proceeds going to Occupy Wall Street. It will be signed by both Fairey and Sarah Mason, whose picture was shot by Ted Soqui, the LA Weekly photographer. You can order the print here.
