Michigan-based artist Thomas Allen cuts and folds out paper figures from the covers and pages of vintage books. Allen says, “I loved pop-up books… I just loved the way you could feel as if you were in it by putting your face up close. It’s about making and experiencing alternative realities.”
If you are in the Baltimore area, the artist’s work are currently on display at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
