Chilean artist Carlos Zuniga draws portraits and images by striking out names and numbers from the pages of phone books. Using only thick horizontal lines of black ink, these portraits – from the series “Next” – combine the use of text and image to form a statement on individual identity versus communal anonymity. Powerful stuff.
