Created by the New York City based studio L.E.FT, this beautiful pear-shaped object is actually a birdhouse created from 2500 empty stray brass bullets. The designers collected the bullet shells from areas in Lebanon where hunting is prevalent. The “object is meant to reflect the uncertainty of life during the tough times that war brings,” say the artists. Besides being an enchanting object, I think the incongruity in this piece is what makes it so special.
