“Belly” is a lovely poignant short film by Julia Pott, a British animator living in Brooklyn. Recently completing a successful run on the festival circuit, including screenings at Sundance, Animafest Zagreb, the Holland Animation Film Festival, the Hiroshima International Animation Festival, and many others, “Belly” has been released on the web. Potts writes on her website that she “employs awkward animated characters to act out her inner confusions.”
Film Synopsis: “Oscar is coming of age, against his better judgment. In doing so he must experience the necessary evil of leaving something behind, but he can still feel it in the pit of his stomach.”
