Some days when I just want to ESCAPE, I look at the work of Andy Kehoe. Here are some of his more recent paintings (all from 2011). “Paintings best enjoyed with smile on face and bourbon in non-mouse hand. When possible, fill room with the smell of burnt gun powder and bacon. At least four gas lanterns recommended for lighting. Legs can either be crossed or uncrossed. Remove Shoes,” says the Pittsburgh based artist.
On July 7, 2012, the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California, will be presenting the latest selection of paintings from Kehoe. “Into the Depth” will explore a new process involving multiple layers of resin, as well as the incorporation of local flora into the paintings.
