Today I’m admiring the work of Eva Black. Using old maps and other found paper, the Los Angeles based artist and graphic designer created this 12′ x 13′ patchwork of folded three dimensional triangles. That’s 3500 triangles. Black writes on her website, “It’s fascinating working with a medium in which a new tactile experience is explored. A medium that is often regarded as common, but has also created strong connections with its viewers.”
