Northern California based artist Tim Weldon paints with his heart. In “Duende: Junkyard Melodies” now showing at Gallery Bergelli in Larkspur, California, Weldon presents new paintings and mixed media assemblages which “documents his life – family, dance, music, food, and the palette and primitivism of New Mexico.”
As a self-trained artist, Weldon creates pieces that vibrate with energy coupled with a charming dose of naivete. His expressionistic style frequently incorporates salvaged objects and poetic verses. The artist says, “A word spawns an image, the image dances across the canvas to the beat of its own drummer and colors lead the way to a new discovery.”
“Duende: Junkyard Melodies” will be showing at Gallery Bergelli through August 22, 2012.
