Greenville, South Carolina based artist Diane Kilgore-Condon paints animals living in fantastical places. Lovely!
Inspired by the process of turning a large old Company Store into the ArtBomb Studios in Greenville, of which she is a member and owner, the artist re-purposes and redeems materials, like salvaged wood, in “an attempt to capture the sense of life- back from the initial loss of habitat created when the tree was felled.” Kilgore-Condon also writes on her website that she focuses on similar “topics of redemption and the odd turns of cause and effect on daily life.” The artist rescues not only discarded building materials but also dogs. These animals are used as subjects in her work, as symbols for the human experience.
