The American Craft Council Show in San Francisco is the largest juried craft show west of the Rockies with handcrafted one-of-a-kind designs from over 230 artists. This year it will be held Friday, August 3, 10am-8pm, Saturday, August 4, 10am-6pm, Sunday, August 5, 10am-5pm. As usual, the venue is the Festival Pavilion at FORT MASON CENTER in San Francisco, CA.
Here are three artisans whose work I am already drooling over.
1. Cara Romano – Studio Jewelry. Romano combines sterling silver with felted wool to create these colorful unique pieces.
2. Two Tone Studios. Husband and wife team Boyd Sugiki and Lisa Zerkowitz create these whimsical blown glass tableware pieces.
3. Suzye Ogawa. Each of these pieces was first created in wax and then was “lost wax” cast into bronze, fine silver, sterling silver or gold. The metal casting was polished and finished and then natural basketry materials was added to complete the piece. Amazing!
