A time lapse video of San Francisco empty of its people

How often are you the only person during the day on a street in a major city? Never, unless a major disaster occurs and its residents are evacuated. That’s probably why this film by Ross Ching seems so eerie. In it, you can see San Francisco’s most iconic landmarks – the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street and lots more. Using clever digital trickery, the city streets are wiped clean of its people.

This is the first film in a series by Ching called “Empty America” where he creates time-lapses of empty cities around the country. You can see a video of how he did this here.
