I love the impromptu nature of this work. In the project ”People vs Places,” photographers Timothy Burkhart and Stephanie Bassos jointly create double exposure photos by shooting on top of the same roll of film. Stephanie Bassos begins by shooting a full roll of only “people.” Timothy Burkhart reloads the same roll and shoots only “places.”
The photographers post the unedited results on their tumblr site: “People vs Places.” About the project, they write: “This double exposure project allows us to step back from having full control of the image making process and trust in one another while allowing coincidences to happen naturally on film.”
