Photographs of meals that characters from famous books may have eaten

San Francisco based designer Dinah Fried enters the lives of fictional characters by creating and photographing meals which they may have sat down to in their novels. These images are like portraits of the characters themselves. I can just imagine Oliver Twist sitting down to a bowl of gruel, spooning it into his mouth with a wooden spoon, whereas Holden Caulfield from the Catcher in the Rye would sit down to a grilled cheese sandwich and a milkshake served at a diner in midtown Manhattan.
