“Apex predator shoe” Savile Row Oxford Shoes, Size UK15, 1050 teeth dentures.
Creepy, but thought-provoking. The UK based studio Fantich and Young re-intereprets the elegant Savile Row Oxford shoe. Replacing the regular sole with dentures, this shoe was meant to accompany a suit made of human hair and glass eyes, called the “Apex Predator Suit.” The matching “Apex Predator Shoe” has 1050 inlayed fake teeth.
Fantich and Young define “Apex Predators” as “predators with no predators of their own, residing at the top of their food chain.” The design work of the duo “addresses parallels between social evolution and evolution in the natural world: nature as model or nature as threat.”
