I love the quote that illustrator Colin Johnson chose for his latest work (shown above) “Everything and Nothing” – “The artist who aims at perfection in everything achieves it in nothing.” – by Eugene Delacroix.
This post shows more of the recent work of the Minnesota-based illustrator. Johnson combines highly detailed collage work with painting techniques, and calls it “hyper-collage” because he tries to “pack as much detail (painting and collage) into one piece as conceivably possible.” I could stare at these pieces for hours.
For more of Johnson’s work, see “Johnson hyper-collages natural forms.”
